How to Play Pixel Escape

1. Start from the Main Menu
Tap the screen to start a run. The main menu also gives you access to outfits, rankings, help, and settings.
The coin counter in the upper-right corner shows how many coins you currently have.
Start a run or use the menu buttons to customize your character, view rankings, or open the help guide.
2. Unlock and Change Outfits
Tap the shirt icon on the main menu to open the character and outfit selection screen.
Different pixel characters can be unlocked with coins. Characters shown in full color are available or unlocked, while dark silhouettes represent characters that have not yet been unlocked.
The price is displayed below the selected character, and your current coin balance appears in the upper-right corner.
Collect coins during runs and use them to unlock different character outfits.
3. Check the Leaderboard
Tap the ranking icon on the main menu to view the leaderboard.
The ranking screen displays scores and positions, giving you a clear target to beat on future runs.
Check the leaderboard to compare scores and set a new target for your next run.
4. Use the Help Guide
Tap the question mark (?) whenever you need a reminder of the basic controls.
The in-game guide explains an important movement mechanic: tap to jump and double tap to double jump.
Tap to jump and double tap when you need a higher or longer double jump.
5. Escape the Pursuing Ball
Once the run begins, keep moving along the elevated pixel path while the large ball follows behind you.
You cannot simply move forward without paying attention. Watch the route ahead and react quickly to hazards.
Stay ahead of the pursuing ball, collect coins, avoid hazards, and follow the course as your character automatically turns at marked corners.

Several types of danger can end a run or make escaping more difficult.
Stay Ahead of the Ball
The large ball behind your character creates constant pressure. Losing too much time can allow it to catch up, so you need to maintain your pace while still reacting carefully to the course.
Avoid Obstacles
Objects can appear directly in your path. Use jumps or double jumps when necessary to clear them instead of running straight into them.
Watch for Slow-Down Areas
Some sections can reduce your momentum. Slowing down is particularly dangerous because the pursuing ball continues to put pressure on you from behind.
Do Not Fall Off the Path
The course is suspended above open space. Pay attention to platform edges and changes in direction, because moving off the route can end your run.
Red Tiles Mark Automatic Turns
Red tiles appear at corners and mark the points where the route changes direction. You do not need to tap to turn. When your character reaches a red corner tile, the character automatically turns and continues along the next section of the path.
Your main job is to stay alive as you approach these corners by avoiding obstacles, keeping enough momentum, and making sure your jumps do not carry you off the platform.
Collect Coins While Escaping
Coins appear along the route during gameplay. Collect them whenever you can without putting your run at unnecessary risk.
Your coin total is shown in the upper-right corner of the screen. Coins can then be used in the outfit menu to unlock additional pixel characters.
This gives each run another objective beyond simply surviving: the farther you travel and the more coins you collect, the more customization options you can work toward.
